Fi•ka (fē’ka) [Swedish] n., coffee break; v., to have a social coffee break
The concept of fika (a Swedish word meaning coffee break) permeates everything we do. A fika is a moment of quiet indulgence in an otherwise hectic day, a time to gather with good friends for great conversation, a sweet treat, and a hot cup of coffee. This concept shapes everything from how we roast our beans to how we connect with customers.
We believe it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. As a small, independent, locally-owned business, we’re committed to caring for our customers. Whether working with distributors, importers, or wholesalers, we choose to operate with the utmost care and attention to detail.
We’re also committed to pursuing local partnerships and creating employment opportunities to promote a whole, healthy, and growing community here on the North Shore. Coffee is our passion, and we think it shows.
Roasting coffee is an art. We start with organically grown green coffee beans that have been handled with care from the husbandry of the plant to the processing to the importing. It is our job to care for each bean, coaxing out the wonderful flavors, aromas, and characteristics that make up each one-of-a-kind cup of coffee. We can do this because we roast in small batches, and work hard to craft coffees that tell a story—from farm, to roaster, to cup.
We Love Coffee
Coffee is an ever growing, and ever changing industry. We drink, sleep, and breathe this stuff, which means we live to learn and grow in our pursuit of bringing you the perfect cup of coffee. What can we say, we take this coffee business seriously.
