The One of a Kind Guatemala coffee auction is put on in partnership between The National Coffee Association of Guatemala (Anacafé) and Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE). One goal of this auction is to expand the market of producers and also to highlight innovative nano and micro lots to the market.
We have once again partnered up with our importer/exporter Onyx Coffee to secure two lots this year.
This Villaure coffee is a washed coffee from Aurelio Villatoro farm in Hoja Blanca, Guatemala. I met Aurelio on my first origin trip in spring of 2016, since then I have been back repeatedly to visit and spend time with the whole Villatoro family, needless to say they feel like family! This coffee placed 2nd with a cup score of 89.58 at the One of a Kind Guatemala competition.
This is a quintessential Guatemala coffee through and through. Expect it to be well balanced, super clean, with a bright smooth finish. Look for flavor notes of sweet dark chocolate, cinnamon, date and bright ripe cherry as it cools.

Our roasting is done on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, and online orders are fulfilled and shipped on Thursdays.
